Gamers from several regions across Sri Lanka Compete in World Cyber Games : Sri Lankan Championship each year. The WCG Sri Lankan championship was held in Kandy and Colombo in 2009. Taking it further this year the WCG Championship will be held in five regions of Sri Lanka, further enforcing the claim that this is the first ever gaming event in Sri Lanka to be held in multiple regions.
