images/s5_nd_2.jpgThe National Team of Sri Lankan Cyber Athletes left the country on the 10th of November, to participate in the most prestigious event in the gaming calendar, WCG 2009 held in Chengdu, China. They will be participating in game FIFA ’09 and the group matches will be from the 11th to 13th November.
The Sri Lankan National Team for WCG 2009 is as follows:
1. Kushan “FlasHBuLLeT” Senanayake, winner of the World Cyber Games Sri Lanka 2009 FIFA 09 National Championship, Runner up of WCG Asia SL 2009.
2. Ifham “iFiBoY” Buhary, Runner up of the World Cyber Games Sri Lanka 2009 FIFA 09 National Championship.
3. Abith “LeoN” Latiff, Champion of WCG Asia SL 2009, GCFL 2009 and SLCG 2008; also ranked 13th in the EA FIFA 08 League.
WCG is a tournament where the very best of the players from all around the world gather to compete for the top spot in their respective games. Therefore the Sri Lankan National team will have to perform at their very best in every single game if they are to have a chance of becoming the world FIFA champion. Our lads have the potential be among the best FIFA players in the world. So we wish our National team the very best of luck and hope that they will make mother lanka proud! Go pwn guys!
