e-Asia 2009, is the annual international Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) organised by the Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS), India and Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), Sri Lanka.

To be held from the 2nd to the 4th of December, it is expected to bring together 1500 delegates from over 45 countries across the Asian region and beyond as well as to attract over 40, 000 visitors from across the country. Thus e-Asia serves as an ideal platform to push forward cyber athletics of Sri Lanka.

During the past couple of years cyber athletics has captured many enthusiastic gamers and have to lead to the formation of countless gaming clans. These clans have shown their potentials by participating in local tournaments and a select few gamers have even progressed into the grand finale of the World Cyber Games in Germany (2008) and in China (2009). This was made possible with the immense efforts of Lanka eSports with our Premier Partner Intel, who was the title sponsor for the World Cyber Games 2009 Sri Lankan Championship. A special thank you goes out to Intel for the encouragement and support extended to Lanka eSports in its ventures.

Once again Lanka eSports, partnering with Intel, are on the lookout for more untapped gaming potential within Sri Lanka; only this time at e-ASIA 2009.
